It has been a while since I painted on a digital platform, so I decided to break the pause today. What’s interesting about working digitally is how strongly we still crave traditional textures and the grain, the resistance, the imperfection; rather than sleek digital smoothness. That’s what drew me to the crayon brush today; giving this rose a feel that’s a little more grounded, textured, and alive.
